What is Archaeology?
Archaeology is the scientific study of past cultures and the way people lived based on the things they left behind. Studying the past is important because it allows present day people to know how they got there and how they are surrounded by the technology we have. It all came from the past and studying it will all help us get a better understanding of the present and future. Many of the most famous discoveries of the ages have been in the field of archaeology. For example, King Tut was found by an archaeologist named Howard Carter. Another famous discovery was that of the Terracotta Army in China.
